Camp Agape

If you have a church looking for a Retreat or Missions Camp destination, Polk County Baptist Association’s Camp Agape is approximately 100 miles from churches in your Association.

Camp Agape` offers year-round camping facilities specializing in retreats and mission opportunities.  Mission groups serve in resort and community ministries through Ocoee Resort Ministries.  We also emphasize personal spiritual growth and Bible study coupled with challenging outdoor recreation (discipleship) activities.

Located adjacent to the Cherokee National Forest, Camp Agape` is a 230-acre Christian camping facility owned and operated by the Polk County Baptist Association. 

The dining hall and dormitory offer a spectacular view of Chilhowee Mountain across the 6.5-acre Lake Agape`.  In addition to the dormitory rooms, we have five cabins and nine full service RV hookups.  There are also six group tent areas.   Recreational opportunities at Camp Agape` include guided team building challenges, catch and release fishing, hiking, volleyball, and Frisbee golf. 

There are many other opportunities in the surrounding area as well:  The Fields of the Woods, white-water rafting on the Ocoee and Hiwassee Rivers, mountain biking, horseback riding, swimming and hiking are all within minutes of the camp.

Fall to Retreat

No this is not a call to pull back from the spiritual battle. The day and age we live in requires Christians to stand firmer than ever. As hard as times are, it is more important now than ever before for churches to pull aside and equip for battle.
 
We want to help you to do just that, pull aside and equip for the battle. Churches and groups from across this country have long used Camp Agape for this purpose. The 230-acre facilities, which are partially surrounded by the Cherokee National Forest, provide a peaceful place to pull aside. The 12+ outside designated small group/ worship areas offer places to focus on the LORD and equip for the battle.
 
The volunteers and staff of Camp Agape are willing to pray and assist you in your next discipleship retreat. We are encouraging groups to book now for their fall retreats so we can pray specifically for them and the battles they are facing.
