Dear Friends,

Please alert everyone (all churches, youth ministers, and senior adult ministers) concerning two dates:
First, on Sat., Sept. 25th, 2010, Mars Hill College will host our second Church/Youth Day.  The target is young people from sixth grade through college age, but this will be a day of Christian fellowship and fun for the entire family.  Rev. Will Graham (Billy's grandson) will be our guest preacher for the inspirational service that day, and the Annie Moses Band will be the music!!!  MHC and the community of faith is VERY fortunate to have been able to enlist all these tremendous people to share in worship with us that day.
Besides the inspirational service, we will have a good lunch in the cafeteria followed by two conference (men's and women's) soccer games that afternoon.  There will be a small fee for the Church/Youth Day--lunch and the games of $12.00 per person--adult, youth, or child.
As an added bonus, the Smithsonian Institute is launching their Appalachian Exhibit here on campus that day.  Mars Hill College is the only school in N. C. to host this exhibit.  So, later in the afternoon, there will be an Appalachian Music program and the exhibit of ancient Appalachian Mountain relics.  I don't believe that there is an additional charge for this.  I will find out, and report back to you later.
Second, on Oct. 21st, 2010, Mars Hill College is hosting the "Fall Festival for Senior Adults."  We are most fortunate to have Dr. Jim Henry (former Southern Baptist Convention President, well-known preacher, and author) to be our worship leader for that day.  The day will feature people from our Music Dept. and other well-known performing groups on campus.  Also, the day will have at least three breakout sessions that will speak directly to the needs of senior adults.  The cost for this day will be $10.00 which is mostly for the lunch, and partly to offset the speakers travel allowances.
Please be aware that Mars Hill College does not make any profit from either of these days.  We are endeavoring to be good ministry partners in the Lord's work with our region's church families by providing wonderful opportunities for the gospel to be shared and Christian fellowship to prosper.
Anything that you may do to help us to get the word out on these two events will be greatly appreciated.  Promotional brochures will follow next month.  These are still being developed at this present time.
If you have questions, please call me at the number below, or at my cell (828) 206-0261.

Thank you, in advance, for your kind friendship and help.
